Benefits Beyond Weight Loss

We guarantee that you will lose at least 10% of your body weight after one year or you’ll get your money back.  But there’s more than just weight loss that you will get out of our program.

Weight loss programs and diets focus on the final outcome (pounds lost) but spend much less time focusing on the process (journey) of getting there.  Focusing on weight loss (final outcome) makes sense.

Dieting Sucks!

If you know dieting is going to suck, why would you stay in the “suck zone” any longer than you need to?  Most diet programs teach you to focus on how much weight you’re going to lose to rationalize/justify the discomfort of the diet.  When you’re on a diet you can’t wait for it to be done and over so you can go back to your normal life.  You’re literally counting down the days and weeks.

This is why at Lifestyle Reboot we make every effort to make dieting suck just a little less.  But the harsh reality is, there is just no getting around this.  We have to do it.  Instead of cringing at the thought of having to diet we say this, you don’t have to enjoy the process of dieting, but you must embrace it.

So instead of focusing so much on

  1. How much dieting is going to suck
  2. How I can spend as little time dieting as possible
  3. How I can limit the discomfort through fad dieting (i.e., eating meat or fat)
  4. How much weight am I going to lose

Try taking one day at a time.  Make a great plan and relentlessly execute it.  Let the chips fall where they may.  Know that it is going to be hard but embrace that battle.  Try to get “a win” every day.  The more wins you pile up, the more weight you will lose.  Many other people have lost the weight and kept it off and so can you.  It’s going to be hard, but you have no idea what you’re really capable of until you have to do it.

You’re going to be hungry.  But so is everyone else on a diet.  Don’t be afraid of hunger.  Hunger is as old as time.  We just haven’t had to experience much of it in our lives.  Did you know that humans are capable of going more than one year without eating?  Yes, the longest a human has gone without eating is 382 days!!  We’re not advocating for this but know that it can be done.

By embracing the hard work, knowing that you are going to be hungry, accepting the challenge of dieting, coming up with a good plan, and relentlessly executing that plan, you’re going to lose the weight.  And not only will you lose the weight but along the way you will receive a number of other benefits beyond weight loss (Table 1).

If you’re reading this and think that you don’t have enough time or that the Lifestyle Reboot program will take too much work, maybe you’re right.  But what’s more important than your health?  If you’re going to go on a weight loss program, don’t just dip your toes in the water, go all in!  Take the time to invest in yourself.  You don’t have to choose our program but find a program that is comprehensive, systematic, and sustainable.  Otherwise, you’re going to find yourself perpetually stuck in the diet suck.
